Abstract
Controversy exists as to whether nurses hold positive or negative attitudes toward geriatric sexuality. The purpose of this study was to determine graduate nursing students’ (n = 42) knowledge of attitudes toward sexuality and the aged, and to determine if the knowledge and attitudes related to demographic variables such as age, educational background, work experience, and marital status. The nurses’ desire for additional information about geriatric sexuality and the implications for staff development and continuing education programs are discussed. Keywords
