Abstract
THE last Medical Progress review of the blood-clotting factors appeared in 1955.1 Fibrinolysis and anticoagulant therapy have been the subject of more recent reviews2 , 3 and will not be covered in this report. For lack of space, reference will be made to only a few of the articles and monographs appearing since 1955.NomenclatureAn international committee was formed in 1954 for the purpose of standardizing the nomenclature of the blood-clotting factors.
