Abstract
In British Columbia, the root disease fungus hitherto referred to as Armillaria mellea was found to be six intersterile groups using the mating test devised by Korhonen and by Ullrich and Anderson. Monosporous cultures of five of the six groups were compatible with groups I, V, VII, IX, and X of Anderson and Ullrich. Similarly, two groups were fully compatible with A. ostoyae and A. bulbosa from British and one was partially compatible with species B of Korhonen from Finland. Armillaria mellea sensu stricto has not been collected in B.C.This publication has 9 references indexed in Scilit:
