Abstract
The absorption of tetracyclines is reduced when the drugs are mixed in feeds. Addition of citric acid increases their availability. The effect of citric acid on the availability of chlortetracycline and oxytetracycline was studied in calves. Citric acid increased the serum levels significantly in calves fed therapeutic doses of chlortetracycline. This publication has 5 references indexed in Scilit:
