Nonexistence of Schwinger Terms in Spinor Quantum Electrodynamics

Abstract
The equal-time commutator between the space and time components of the electromagnetic current in spinor electrodynamics is calculated, to order α, using the technique of Johnson, Low, and Bjorken; it is found to be a c number. An argument is presented which indicates that the commutator is a c number in all orders of perturbation theory.
