Abstract
15 dogs received daily injns., numbering 7 to 71 of histamine in beeswax. Six dogs had antiproteolytic titers detd. daily and 9 had titers at intervals of 2-5 days. A significant elevation of titer occurred in 9 dogs. Five dogs which died or were sacrificed during the initial significant elevation of titer, had acute peptic ulcers. The other 4 were sacrificed after the return to normal and all had chronic ulcers. Of the 6 animals with insignificant titer elevation, three had no gastroduodenal pathology, 2 had chronic duodenitis without ulceration and one, without daily titers, had 2 small ulcers. Keywords
