Cerium(III) Amide Enolate. Addition to Aldehydes and Ketones

Abstract
The cerium(III) amide enolates, prepared in situ from the corresponding lithium enolates and anhydrous CeCl3, were found to undergo facile additions to ketones and aldehydes. Yields of the adducts are superior to those obtained using the lithium enolates.Keywords
