Abstract
SUMMARY: Immature female rats were treated with either gonadotrophin or oestrogen and an estimate was made of the number of medium-sized follicles in which the oocyte had begun its first maturation division. It was found that fewer follicles had become atretic after division of the oocyte in the experimental animals than in the controls. Keywords
