Abstract
The microwave spectrum of cis‐1,2‐dichloroethylene has been assigned. The rotational constants of cis‐CHCl35 CHCl35 are A = 11 518.33 Mc, B = 2545.15 Mc, and C = 2082.57 Mc. The Cl35 nuclear quadrupole coupling constants have been measured and are χaa = 3.7 Mc, χbb = —35.6 Mc, and χcc = 31.9 Mc. Various aspects of the nuclear quadrupole interaction and the structure of the molecule are discussed. Keywords
