Effect of Biting Force on the Duration of the Masseteric Silent Period

Abstract
The relationship of biting force to the duration of the masseteric silent period was studied. After introduction of a bite transducer in ten individuals, the jaw jerk reflex was elicited at specific decreases in biting force. No significant alteration in the duration of the silent period was observed.Keywords
