Abstract
Analytical expressions for the scattering function for a polydisperse Percus-Yevick fluid with Schulz- (Γ-) distributed particle diameters have been obtained. Results obtained with the expression for selected width factors and particle densities are presented. Comparisons have been made with approximations routinely used to model small-angle scattering curves. The expression derived is shown to yield the static structure function as a special case. Keywords
