Abstract
After adm. of testosterone propionate to 2 [male][male] with deficient testicular secretion and to 4 immature Macaus mulatta monkeys, the urine was examined with regard to change in estrogenic activity. In one [male], intramusc. inj. of 20 mg. resulted in a 500% increase in the estrogenic activity of the urine. Oral adm. of 6 times that amt. to the same patient, and of large quantities to the other man, gave no substantial increase in urinary estrogens. In the monkeys, the results of intramusc. injs. of large amts. of the hormone were suggestive of increased estrogen excretion. This publication has 6 references indexed in Scilit:
