Abstract
The authors demonstrate frequency conversion by nondegenerate four-wave mixing in a lasing long-cavity λ/4-shifted DFB laser using the lasing beam of the DFB laser as a pump beam. Because of the long cavity and high power of the DFB laser, a wide range frequency conversion of 3.7 THz is demonstrated without cavity resonance. Keywords
