Abstract
The Co-Q systems of 11 strains representing the generaSchwanniomyces, Lodderomyces, Lipomyces, Nematospora andMetschnikowia were determined. All the genera were characterized by the Q-9 system except for the genusNematospora with needle-shaped ascospores. The only species,Nem. coryli, was found to have the Q-6 system. These results are discussed from the taxonomic point of view. Keywords
