Abstract
Cis-49-Heptadecenoic acid has been isolated from butterfat and conclusively identified. The weight of cis-49-heptadecenoic acid isolated from the sample of butterfat under investigation represented approximately 0.06% of the total weight of fatty acids. Odd-numbered unsaturated fatty acids have not formerly been found in butterfat. Keywords
