Abstract
The fluorescent V Kβ5 emission bands from the pure metal and binary alloys of transition elements Co, Ni, Rh, Pd, Ir, and Pt have been investigated. In the alloys V3Rh, V3Pd, V3Ir, and V3Pt the V Kβ5 bands are split in two principal subbands. These spectrum changes are related to the energy separation of d‐band components. Keywords
