Abstract
Itis well known that proper usage of regularity in digital systems leads to #fcient as well as econonu”c designs. We examine this important question of regulm”ty extraction, and present a general methodology for doing so. We consider system-level partitiow”ng to demonstrate how regulari~ can lead to reduced &sign costs. A prototype system based on these ideas has been but”lt; and some real-life examples are co~”&redfor testing. Research is underway to explore some of the other prondsing applications that such a system could have. Keywords
