Abstract
The periodontal status of natives of 3 fluoride communities was compared with that of natives of 3 non-fluoride communities. In addition the gingival health of native children in a series of fluoride communities was compared with that of migrant children in the same communities. Differences seen were slight and generally in favor of users of a fluoride domestic water. The findings are incompatible with any hypothesis that use of a fluoride domestic water is injurious to the gingival tissues of children or of adults. Keywords
