Abstract
Study of plants from Scotland recently referred to B. jamesonii (Tayl.)Crum shows that they are distinct from B. jamesonii and allied South American and Asiatic taxa, and are therefore described as a new species, B. caledonicum Long. The history of this species in Scotland is outlined, with a discussion of differences between it and its allies. Its distribution, ecology and cytology are reported. This publication has 8 references indexed in Scilit:
