Abstract
The solid solution between nonmagnetic narrow-gap semiconductor FeSi and diamagnetic semimetal CoSi gives rise to interesting metallic alloys with long-range helical magnetic ordering, for a wide range of intermediate concentrations. We report various magnetic properties of these alloys, including low-temperature reentrant spin-glass like behavior and an inverted magnetic hysteresis loop. The role of Dzyaloshinski-Moriya interaction in the magnetic response of these non-centro-symmetric alloys is discussed. Keywords
