Abstract
Presentation of CaseA 41-year-old man was admitted to the hospital because of proteinuria.He had been in excellent health until three weeks previously, when there was the onset of pain in the left ankle, with swelling, erythema, numbness and tingling of the dorsum of the left foot, accompanied by mild arthralgia in the right ankle. A physician prescribed penicillin. On the following day an erythematous rash appeared; his physician discontinued the penicillin and prescribed a sulfonamide. The rash and joint pain improved during the next few days. Ten days before entry nausea, vomiting and diarrhea developed, associated with chilliness, . . .Keywords
