Abstract
Mitosis in the Zygomycete Ancylistes sp. was studied using light and electron microscopy. Division was found to be intranuclear. The chromosomes did not condense at any time and the nucleolus did not disperse. The presence of spindle pole bodies was noted early in the division and their structure is described. Keywords
