Abstract
The interaction of two wave fields of different nature in a disordered medium with an arbitrary relation between the mean value P and rms fluctuation of the coupling parameter is studied. A significant reconstruction of the eigenfrequencies, damping parameters, and susceptibilities of the system occurs when the situation changes from the model of a homogeneous medium to the model of the disorder-induced crossing resonance The concept of two effective media in the same material, which was introduced for the latter model in earlier work, is extended here to the case
