FAILURE OF HUMAN CHORIONIC GONADOTROPHINS TO INCREASE THE UTERINE WEIGHT IN SPAYED MICE

Abstract
Gonadotropins of placental origin failed to increase the uterine wt. of spayed mice. This indicates that chorionic gonadotropins do not produce the release of significant amts. of estrogen from the adrenals of these animals. This is in contradiction to previously published reports.
