Abstract
This is apparently the 1st report of the occurrence of 2 articulated bones in the tongue of the rat. Mature morphology of the bone and the intervening synovial joint together with the related histological appearance suggest that the most likely explanation for the presence of this bone is an embryological malformation, although definite evidence is not available. This publication has 4 references indexed in Scilit:
