Abstract
Three different mathematical models of an armature-controlled dc motor are considered: (i) a precise nonlinear model, (ii) a piecewise linear model, and (iii) a second-order linear model. Experimental results are presented comparing the various models, and a range of applications for each is suggested. Keywords
