Abstract
A frontal region is predicted in Lyme Bay from a numerical model. A crescent-shaped feature is occasionally identified in the coastal-zone colour scanner imagery for this region. Measurements at sea confirm the development of a frontal zone which can show associated increases in levels of chlorophyll a. The surface distributions of inorganic nutrients indicate that nutrients and light levels are factors controlling the observed variations of surface phytoplankton. This publication has 4 references indexed in Scilit:
