Abstract
A theorem is proved establishing the equality of ‘‘lengths’’ calculated with the entropy‐based metric ∂2S/∂Xi∂Xj used by Ruppeiner and with a metric based on the information–theoretic entropy max(−Σpj ln pj).Keywords
