Abstract
Vit. B1 stimulates the decarboxylation of pyruvic acid by alkaline washed yeast in the presence of co-carboxylase, and the system is greatly stimulated by Mn++ in adequate amts. Admin. of B1 to B1-deprived animals leads to immediate accumulation of B1 and cocarboxylase in the liver. This publication has 8 references indexed in Scilit:
