Abstract
The semiclassical approximation of the generalized phase shift (GPS) treatment of rotational excitation is applied to a previously considered collision model intended to represent thermal Ar–N2 scattering. In addition, calculations are performed in the sudden approximation limit. Results obtained are compared at the level of inelastic cross sections with those from previous classical trajectory and classical limit GPS calculations. Keywords
