Abstract
Quark and diquark fragmentation into mesons and baryons is treated in a cascade-type model based on six coupled integral equations. An analytic solution including flavor dependence is found. Comparison with experimental data is given. Our results indicate a probability of about 50% for the diquark to break up.Keywords
