Abstract
Large-scale reuse of software architectures and components is an important element for improving software productivity and reducing the time needed to design, develop, and deploy software systems. For maximum benefit, the application of reuse technologies must be coupled with effective process changes. In this paper, we focus on AT&T's approach to software reuse, particularly the use of the AT&T BaseWorX™ applications platform to achieve reuse. We also discuss the process changes associated with software reuse, and the results that have been achieved from applying reuse to a wide range of software products. Keywords
