Abstract
A large number of follicles develop readily in the ovary of goats when stimulation is given by PMS injection. The intensity of this reaction depends on the dosage of injection. A dose higher than 1, 000 MU per animal is needed to expect the development of more than 10 follicles in total in both ovaries, and over 1, 500 MU for more than 30 follicles. Follicles induced by PMS injection do not reach ovulation, unless otherwise treated. This result is quite different from what has been experienced with ewes treated with PMS.This publication has 20 references indexed in Scilit:
