Abstract
Combined input output queueing switches(CIOQ) have better scaling properties than outputqueueing (OQ) switches. However, a CIOQ switchmay have lower switch throughput, and more importantly,it is difficult to control delay in a CIOQswitch due to the existence of multiple queueingpoints. In this paper, we study the following problem, originally formulated and studied by Prabhakarand Mckeown [16]: Can a CIOQ switch be designedto behave identically to an OQ switch? In [16],an algorithm was ...Keywords
