Abstract
The crystal phase transition in phthalocyanines is shown to have no influence on the electrical conductivity; the intrinsic conductivities are identical. The changes in intermolecular overlap are too small to be discerned. The stronger propensity of the α phase to absorb oxygen is the source of the apparently higher conductivity of the α phase. Keywords
