Abstract
A number of cases of hemorrhagic duodenitis accompanying acute myocardial infarction are reported. The association of the lesions is accounted for by invoking a neurogenic vasomotor response. The duodenal hemorrhage may be responsible for abdominal pain in patients with in-farcts of the heart. This entity must be considered in the differential diangosis of upper gastrointestinal bleeding in patients with disease of the coronary arteries. Keywords
