Abstract
Piezoelectric d constants (d 33, d h and d 31) of 0-3 composites of polymer and ceramic powder mixture of PZT and PbTiO3 at the polarization reversal process were measured at room temperature as a function of electric field after applying a reverse poling electric field to the prepoled composite specimens. Coercive force was obtained as a reverse poling field to make the piezoelectric d constants (d 33, d h and d 31) of the specimens zero. Coercive forces for d 33, d 31 and d h were different for the composites of polymer and ceramic powder mixture of PZT/PbTiO3 although they were identical for those of polymer and single ceramic powder (PZT or PbTiO3). These results are discussed theoretically based on a proposed model. Keywords
