Abstract
The effects of synthetic bradykinin and eledoisin on the peripheral circulation were studied in hind limbs of anesthetized dogs. The intraarterial injection of either peptide caused marked decreases in the femoral arterial perfusion pressure and the femoral arterial peripheral resistance, whereas these peptides increased the femoral venous outflow, even when the femoral arterial inflow was kept constant and systemic arterial pressure remained essentially unchanged. The present observation indicates that bradykinin and eledoisin dilate both arterioles and arterovenous communication vessels in canine hind limbs. This publication has 15 references indexed in Scilit:
