Abstract
The activity of eccrine sweat gland was investigated during the course of the menstrual cycles of 12 healthy females. The sweat glands were stimulated either by intracutaneously administered cetyl-[beta]-methylcholine or reflexly by placing the lower extremities in hot water. The activity of the sweat glands was assessed in terms of the latent period of reflex sweating, the sweat rate, the count of active glands, and the gland flow. No systematic changes in the activity of the eccrine sweat gland were found during the major phases of the menstrual cycle. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
