Abstract
Accurate familiar-novel decisions about complex visual stimuli are possible with 20-msec. presentations and are asymptotic by 500 msec. Decisions of novelty are more accurate than decisions of familiarity at all durations of exposure. Lower over-all accuracies for familiar decisions resulted from the high rates of error for certain familiar stimuli. Keywords
