Abstract
We develop a technique for solving the time-dependent three-dimensional Schrödinger equation by expanding in terms of a set of Volkov functions and converting to a system of first-order temporal equations. Solutions are obtained through standard multivalue propagation schemes. We apply the method to several cases including the interaction of an intense, oscillating electric field with a model three-dimensional atomic system, observing the above-threshold ionization structure. Keywords
