Interpolation of singular energy bands

Abstract
A new and easy-to-apply scheme is given which makes it possible to interpolate energy bands also in the vicinity of degeneracies. Instead of the energy bands other nonsingular transforms of bands connected by the compatibility relations are calculated which can be individually interpolated over the whole Brillouin zone. The energy bands can be trivially calculated from the interpolated transforms.
