Abstract
Using laser excitation and optogalvanic detection in a xenon discharge, the authors have performed a spectroscopic study of the 5p5ns and 5p5nd configurations of xenon for 12-3 cm-1. The position of the first ionisation limit and the quantum defects are deduced from the experimental data. Keywords
