Abstract
A case of an atraumatic right ventricular aneurysm is reported. Hemodynamic and cinefluorographic data were obtained at cardiac catheterization and surgical resection of the aneurysm was accomplished; post-operatively repeat cardiac catheterization was performed to demonstrate cinefluorographic absence of the aneurysm. A brief review of the literature comments on the various causes of right ventricular aneurysm in order to emphasize the rarity of this entity in which there was no history of previous trauma or surgery. Surgical resection of the aneurysm was performed because of incapacitating recurrent supraventricular tachycardia, fatigue and congestive failure. The patient has shown slow clinical improvement post-operatively.This publication has 11 references indexed in Scilit:
