Abstract
In the presence of horseradish peroxidase, H2O2 oxidized ferro- to ferricyanide. The addition of phenol, p-cresol or o-cresol accelerated this action. The reaction was followed manometrically. The oxidation of Mn++ by H2O2 peroxidase was accelerated by the addition of molybdates, tungstates and vanadates due to the formation of the corresponding peroxy compounds. Keywords
