Abstract
The rapid oxidation of betaine and the production of formaldehyde and dimethylglycine by cell-free extracts of Achromobacter cholinophagum has been demonstrated. Homocysteine was shown to be an inhibitor of betaine oxidation and transmethylation from betaine to homocysteine did not occur.This publication has 6 references indexed in Scilit:
