Decay of metastable vacuums in the massive Schwinger model

Abstract
The unique vacuum of the massive Schwinger model for the sector becomes metastable when exceeds . This metastable vacuum decays through barrier penetration. We can get an explicit expression for the decay width, to leading order in , in the weak-coupling limit.
