Abstract
The finite nuclear size effects are of significant importance in the study of the second-order corrections to the allowed beta transitions, evaluation of nuclear matrix elements, and in all cases where the approximation is not valid. Accurate electronic radial functions are computed by considering the finite nuclear size effects and the finite de Broglie wavelength effects. A summary of the computation procedure is given, and a comparison of the calculated beta-decay functions is made with the corresponding Coulomb functions.
