Abstract
For pt.V see ibid., vol.14, p.2995 (1981). The process of Auger neutralisation of slow positive ions on metal surfaces is considered within the dipole approximation of the inter-electron interaction. An asymptotically correct expression for the transition probability per unit time is derived, and calculations are performed for the He+-W(100) system. Keywords
