Abstract
The effects of pressure and temperature upon the eight Raman‐active phonons of the [ZnPy2Cl2] crystal were investigated. Two techniques were used to measure the presssure dependence of the phonon frequencies, which allowed us to determine the isothermal compressibility and the mode Grüneisen parameters. The isobaric temperature dependence of each frequency was separated into thermal strain and anharmonic ’’self‐energy’’ contributions and discussed in terms of the cubic and quartic anharmonicities. Keywords
